SPIU - Uttarakhand

The objective of TEQIP III is to help the selected institutions gain autonomy and high standards of education within their institutions, as set by the accreditation bodies. TEQIP III was started in April 2017 which includes governance and performance in the sector. The inclusion of Affiliating Technical Universities (ATUs) and twinning arrangements ensures capacity building and improvement in policy, academic and management practices of project institutions.

The reforms for project institutions are in the areas of accreditations, autonomy, admissions of disadvantaged groups, faculty recruitments and research and consultancy projects.

The reforms for ATUs would be implemented in the areas of learning assessment and examinations, socially/industry relevant curriculum development, student placement, personnel management and improved data management and administration.

The students as stakeholders get benefitted by new labs, socially/industry relevant curricula, skill development for employment, better teaching pedagogy, entrepreneurship, internships and projects.
